Rabies-Free Kerala – Melattur Grama Panchayat
Taking another step towards the goal of a rabies-free Kerala, the “Rabies-Free Kerala” campaign, organized under the leadership of Melattur Grama Panchayat, was inaugurated on October 14, 2026.
The main objectives of the campaign are to raise public awareness about rabies, educate people about the risks associated with the disease, highlight the importance of preventive vaccinations for pet animals and stray dogs, and promote precautionary measures to prevent dog bites.
Through active public participation and coordination among various departments, the campaign aims to control rabies and create a safe and healthy community. The cooperation and participation of the public are essential to ensuring the health and safety of both humans and animals.
